Host Kathi Kamleitner, an award-winning travel blogger (WatchMeSee.com) who has travelled Scotland extensively over the past seven years, has just launched the new series of the podcast, which aims to highlight lesser-known road trips in Scotland and encourage visitors to slow down when they come.

‘Wild for Scotland’ includes first-person travel stories, complete with detailed descriptions and sound effects that will help transport you to Scotland. You will also gain many recommendations for things to do, places to go and local businesses to support.

While for the first season Kathi took us to Scotland’s varied islands, the second season focusses on road trips. Kathi travels the popular Road to the Isles, the North Coast 500 and explores the remote roads of the West Highland Peninsulas, among other adventures – and she takes us with her!

“I live and breathe for road trips – they are by far my favourite way to experience Scotland and my readers always ask me for ideas or itineraries away from the usual suspects,” says Kathi. “With this season I want to highlight routes that deserve more attention – roads you may have not heard about before or never considered driving down – but also show how easy it is to escape the crowds even on well-known road trips, if you only slow down and
explore more.”

Season two of ‘Wild for Scotland’ launched on 14 September 2021 and contains 10 episodes – out every Tuesday. Available to listen on Acast (below) or where you usually listen to podcasts.
