Am Mod Naiseanta Rioghail – The Royal National Mod

Gaeldom in full swing. With HM the Queen as Patron, this is the primary festival of Scotland's Gaelic language and culture organised by An Comunn Gàidhealach (The Gaelic Association). Events include the Mod Shinty Cup Final and Mod Football; a Fiddlers' Rally; Literature Awards, a Clàrsach Concert; Highland Dancing and Massed Choirs.

Biggar Little Festival
This is an annual family friendly event held to celebrate music,dance, arts and crafts, literature and drama. There are workshops, exhibitions, events for children, and a craft and food fair.

Glenfiddich Piping Championships

Now in its 42nd year, the Glenfiddich Piping Championship features ten invited competitors all of whom have taken part in one of the year's senior piping events. There are two panels of three judges for each section: (1) Piobaireachd and (2) March, Strathspey & Reel.

Glenfiddich Fiddle Championships
25 October The Ball Room, Blair Castle, Blair Atholl, Perthshire
The Glenfiddich Fiddle Championship was added on to the existing Glenfiddich Piping Championships in 1989 to reward, encourage and perpetuate the art of fiddle playing throughout the world. Eight finalists are selected to compete following successes throughout the year, with each finalist giving a recital incorporating all the various styles of composition including a set of tunes by a specific composer.
