Scotland Hotels

Premium Choice

No vacation to Scotland would be complete without experiencing the comfortable surroundings, delicious food and warm hospitality for which the country is famous. Whether you are searching for urban luxury, an island retreat, exquisite cuisine, some trout or salmon fishing, a few rounds of golf or even your own castle, our friends at the Scottish Hotel Awards will point you in the right direction.

1 Links House at Royal Dornoch
Golf Road, Dornoch IV25 3LW

One of the best additions to the Scottish hotel scene, this charming 5 star hotel is the result of the sensitive restoration of a classic two storey late Georgian mansion overlooking the first tee at Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

Interior décor has been meticulously developed so that guests feel they are staying at a lavish Scottish sporting manor house. From the extensive art collection, antiques and vintage fly rods and reels found throughout the house, to the coffee table books on Scottish private estates and a single malt honour bar in the elegant library, everything looks and feels sumptuous, bespoke and homely.

Guests can enjoy fine dining in the beautiful orangery or gather with friends by the outdoor fireplace whilst practising on the putting green. At the hotel’s very own sporting bothy, guests can also find golf clubs and equipment for outdoor pursuits, as well as materials for drawing and painting should they
feel inspired.

There are only eight bedrooms, but all of them boast the highest quality of furnishings, luxury bedding and modern comforts. There is underfloor heating in the bathrooms, fluffy robes, slippers and towels to make bath time an indulgent opportunity for luxury, relaxation and comfort.

Families and friends have the chance to stay in separate accommodation at the Links House Mews. There they will find three spacious luxury suites sympathetically designed to complement the original building.
