The Mighty Deerstalker

The toughest off road run in the UK ‘The Mighty Deerstalker’ is back for its eighth year. Run by
adventure sports company Rat Race, the event will see over 3,500 men and women pushed to their
physical limits at the beautiful setting of the Tweed Valley.
Entry to the 2015 event is open until capacity is reached and costs £55 per person or £50 for a team of
five for the 10k race and £45 per person or £40 for a team of five for the 5k race. To enter online and for

Dandie Dinmonts celebrate 200 Years

A three day celebration of the 200th anniversary of the publication of Sir Walter Scott's Guy Mannering in the Scottish Borders. Events begin at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel in Melrose, followed by a visit to Bowhill, home of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch, and to the Haining at Selkirk, birthplace of the ancestors of the Dandie Dinmont breed of terriers. There is also a special Service of Celebration for the Life and Work of Sir Walter Scott at his tomb at Dryburgh Abbey, and a ‘Blessing of the Dandie Dinmonts’ followed by a visit to Abbotsford.
