Hawke and Hunter

Afive storey Georgian townhouse has opened its doors as the latest addition to Edinburgh’s dining and social scene.

Comprising a restaurant, late-night bar, billiard room, secret garden and four distinctive boutique bedrooms, Hawke + Hunter is to be found at 12 Picardy Place in the East End of the city.

The theme flowing throughout has hints of gothic tradition with a contemporary twist.

The venue is packed with quirky touches, like the self playing piano and a dedicated whisky bar.

Fine Scottish fare is order of the day in a menu which has been created by innovative head chef Suzanne O’Connor, a familiar and highly respected foodie in the city.

The menu’s ethos focuses on fresh food that has been hunted and gathered especially for the Hawke + Hunter table.

Diners can look forward to delights such as roasted venison with a parsley mash and redcurrant jus as a fishy delight of roasted langoustine, Shetland mussels, razor clams all baked in a rich tomato and herb sauce.
