Turnberry turns 100

Turnberry turns 100 (Issue 27)

One of Scotland's finest hotels and golfing destinations has hit the century mark.

The Westin Turnberry Resort celebrated its 100th anniversary in May.

Exactly a hundred years to the day that the Turnberry first opened its doors, a special exhibition was unveiled to help the birthday celebrations.

A series of photographs, newspaper articles and other memorabilia now adorn the corridors of the hotel giving a fascinating insight in to the lives and events at the Turnberry during the past century – including three Open Championships....
