Bird watching at its best

Aproject has been launched to boost wildlife conservation and tourism to the Trossachs National Park.

The new Trossachs Bird of Prey trail links two viewing projects at Argaty Red Kites and at the Osprey Viewing Centre at Aberfoyle.

The trail passes through stunning locations such as Lake of Menteith, Loch Venachar and Glen Finglas, where it is possible to see peregrines, buzzards and even golden eagles.

Large trail maps can be picked up at key sites along the trail and a comprehensive website has been launched, telling you how to identify the birds, plus information on where to stay and where to eat whilst in the area.
