The second Scottish Hotels of the Year Awards were held in the glamorous surroundings of The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. Scotland Magazin sponsored the Sensationally Scottish Award 2005 as we felt that many of our readers might like to experience an emphatically Scottish hotel.
The winner, The Albannach at Lochinver in the beautiful north-west Highlands, is a haven of Scottish chic, fabulous food while the owners add character and wit.
The Scottish Hotels of the Year Awards are unique in that they invited readers of HotelReviewScotland.com, Scotland Magazine, VisitScotland.com and many other media to vote at the awards website, ScottishHotelsOfTheYear.com – or via inbedroom cards in hotels.
At the sell-out Awards Night Party, the biggest gathering of Scottish hotels (with more than 100 represented), guest of honour was Orcadian winner of massive television hit show Big Brother, Cameron Stout.
More than 11,500 votes were cast from over 40 countries. Independent scrutineers checked...
